owning an event horse is the best way to get involved with the thrill of eventing in the most personal way. Here at Active Equine, we aim to make each ownership experience an individual and personal experience with a dash of prosecco to go with it.

There are many forms of ownership, from sole ownership, partnerships, corporate, syndicate, and experience syndicate ownership. Lucy is keen to work with new owners to develop her string horses.

Sole Ownership

If you purchase an event horse of your own, the horse will run under your name and you will receive the owner’s share of any prize money won. This is the most personal way of getting involved with the excitement of event horse ownership. Of course, you are also solely responsible for all of the competition and training expenses.

Partnerships

In a partnership, all the co-owners are registered owners with a defined percentage share. costs, prizemoney, and the responsibilities of event horse ownership are shared according to these percentages.

Corporate

For companies and studs who wish to own a horse under the name of the company or business. Companies can own horses outright or within a partnership or syndicate should they wish.

Syndicate

For a group of owners larger than 3 who each own a percentage share of their horse. responsibilities for the horse are shared in the same way as in a partnership.

Experience Syndicate

Membership to an experience syndicate does not involve actual ownership of an event horse but enables you to be involved with one or more horses owned or leased by the syndicate and experience many of the benefits of ownership with much less of a financial outlay.

Whichever form of ownership you choose you will receive regular updates on your horse from Lucy via email.

Current Ownership Opportunities

The Jedi Syndicate

Joining an event horse experience syndicate is an exciting way to experience the thrill of event horse ownership without the associated costs. Members will enjoy watching their horse compete at the highest level whilst getting exclusive access to “behind the scenes” content and training from world-class coaches.

Wicklow Into Orbit

“Obie” is an eye-catching 9-year-old by British Eventing no.1 ranked stallion OBOS Quality 004. Obie has been recognised as having potential for senior team selection by many world-class coaches. Obie has several wins, placings, and double clears at intermediate and 3* level to back this up and was the youngest horse selected for the Junior European Development squad aged 6. Lucy aims to establish Obie at the 4* level in 2024 and target selection for senior nations cup teams and the young rider European championships.
